I know choosing the right photographer is a big decision. I have personally gone through countless websites when choosing a photographer for my family and our events.

My wants are simple. I want to capture you through my lens as if we are life long friends. My passion for photography allows me to create timeless images for you to enjoy, but in order to do this, you’ll have to know a little more about me.

I can’t imagine doing anything else

I’m a mother to an amazing little boy ( my reluctant model) & my golden doodle Rex. My two nieces, A&A spend summers with us while we explore the world. Life brought me to the DMV and I have decided to make it my home.

I was born in Bogota, Colombia and grew up in the Northern Bay Area, CA. & Las Vegas, NV. Photography has always been a part of me, I was about 9 years old when I was given a 35 mm yellow camera. I still have a photograph of me in Chinatown San Francisco (1999) with that little camera.

My father taught me the importance of a memory on paper, and shortly after starting high school, I found the dark room. Learning photography with film gave me a new respect for light and the major, major role it plays in my life.

I have learned how to manipulate light and I love it! I became and wedding and event photographer around that time in Vegas. I would shoot weddings in the day and at Vegas night clubs at night. I never slept but I loved it. In my life I have shot over 700 weddings in my life!

My goal is to create images that will be cherished by my clients forever. Let me get real with you for a second, I KNOW FOR A FACT that photographs are our most cherished possession. I am a photographer - that means I do whatever I have to do to to get the shot! So don’t be alarmed if you see me on the floor or climbing on things. During your shoot with me be prepared to get creative and have fun!

If you want timeless photographs - my style is is light, romantic and crisp.

If you do decide to hire me, I'll be the short girl in black with the big hair and cameras.

Working with Carol was one of the best decisions I’ve made. She photographed my husband’s Marine Corps promotion at the reflecting pool and the entire process was more than I could have hoped for. All of her emails were professional, transparent, and made me excited to work with her. Everyone that attended/participated in the ceremony talked about how great she was and that having her was a great addition. She processed the photos quickly and they were each stunning. I would work with her again without any hesitation. She is worth it!
Carol is simply the best. A friend posted the most beautiful family photos and I inquired about their photographer - and they raved about Carol. She did not disappoint. We have used Carol every year since then and she is just amazing. Not only does she have a wonderful and patient personality but her photos are just incredible. She knows how to deal well with children and creates both wonderfully posed and spontaneous pictures. The best part is that she has a pretty quick turnaround and she shares so many beautiful photos that you get to pick from to purchase (so many others choose the ones they want you to have which I don't like). She also always suggests new locations to vary up the pictures each year which is nice. I plan to be a client of hers for as long as she will have us!
Carol was amazing to work with for our Gender Reveal photoshoot! She was so nice and had great ideas for location and poses! She worked with fiancé on everything and made the day extra special. Of course we couldn’t think of a better photographer for our upcoming wedding too! Carol is awesome!
Carol was so amazing. My 35th birthday shoot was the best shoot I’ve ever had done professionally. She captured the perfect angles, the perfect moments and gave us so much direction. I loved every minute of our shoot. It was around 30 degrees and she kept the appointment timely and perfect. I love working with Carol and will never use another photographer!
