How to Have Great Sunday in DC | Personal Thursday | DC MD VA Portrait And Wedding Photographer

AREPAS - ART - WATER - MUSIC - PLANES

My girls’ last Sunday in DC was spent exploring with lots of mixed feelings and delicious food.

We started how any tourist would, at the MUST SEE Air & Space Museum. Which right now is under construction so some exhibits are closed, but there is still so, so, so much available to take in! They of course, had to get the astronauts ice cream from the gift shop.

We moved along to the Portrait Gallery of. One of my favorite museums to head to in Washington. This place has it all, the art and stories it tells are phenomenal but the architecture of the building itself gets the medal. I have no idea who designed this space, but it’s the perfect place to spend some hours. It’s right in the heart of the city, so once you head out you can visit some of the most delicious restaurants in the city.

Once we had had worked up quite the appetite, off to Union Market! If you haven’t been yet and you enjoy literally any kind of food or drink, you’re missing out. Seriously, stop reading this and head over immediately. It’s variety of shops, restaurants and bars is the extensive. They also house Arepa Zone, which being the Colombian woman that i am- I head there first. Get my Colombiana and my arepa- I’m good.

100% do yourself a favor and make the drive to Ice Cream Jubilee in Navy Yard They are my total new ice cream, so many AWESOME and unique flavors! I got the lavender and thai tea. Do I regret it? I regret not getting more.. And if it’s warm enough afterwards, take your kids to the cute little water area under the bridge. 100 percent guaranteed fun!
