Frequently Asked Questions

  • To hold your session there is a $100 dollar non refundable retainer fee. This will go towards your full session amount. Because of the nature of my business retainers are non refundable due to cancelation. If you need to reschedule your session, please do so 48 hours before your scheduled session in order to not forfeit your retainer.

  • Please expect your portrait gallery within 2-3 weeks of our shoot.

    Please expect your wedding gallery within 6-8 week of your wedding.

  • I ask you to please arrive at your session 10 - 15 minutes before start time. DCP is not responsible for any time missed or missed photo opportunities during the session time due to lateness. Please understand that your session will begin and end at the scheduled time. If you are 30 minutes late, your hour session is now a 30 minute session.

  • I can remove small spots, bruises and scratches for free. However other specific requirements will be additional work with additional fees.

  • I do not allow our photos to be edited by anyone else but myself or my editing wizard partners.

  • We love mommies-to-be! We suggest planning your appointment for when you are showing quite well, but are still comfortable. Every pregnancy is different, but typically that is around 28-36 weeks.

  • Wear what you feel good and can move around in. like every person, every session is different. You can also bring wardrobe changes if you so desire. Think about your location and try to match the environment. I always recommend layers, they are very pleasing on camera! I’ll also email you a styling and prep guide prior to your session, to help you get camera ready!

  • Please call me with as much time as possible to reschedule. Your NRR will be forfeited though if the session is rescheduled more than two times.

  • Please reach out via the contact form in the About me section. I will send you back some information on what it’s like to work with me, what you can expect from me, and the current rates. We can chat via FaceTime, over coffee, or on a phone call. Once you and your partner feel ready to book, we’ll get an agreement to you and invoice for the NRR and book your date!

  • I use full-frame Nikon bodies and Nikon prime lenses as well as a beautiful Tamron 70-200 lens that hardly ever leaves my camera!

  • Bookings usually start 12 – 18 months in advance. It never hurts to check, but the earlier the better to make sure your date is available

  • This all depends on how much you need or want to be photographed. My most popular package is an all-day coverage package, so you don’t have to worry about a photographer's timeline! During our initial talk, we'll go over your plans and ideas for how the day will go. From there we will make a rough - very rough timeline for your day and recommend a package.

  • I’ve been shooting weddings of all kinds (long, short, and quickie-vegas style) since 2011! 700+ weddings and counting! As a photographer, we love working with all kinds of lighting situations and work hard to get authentic emotion and energy from our subjects!

  • For the best results, we need a minimum of the following:

    Couple getting ready before the ceremony: 30 mins to 1 hour

    Location & detail shots: 30 min

    Ceremony: 15 min to 45 min

    Family & Group shots: 15 min to 45 min

    Couple portraits: 45 min to 2 hours

    Reception: 1 hour to 3 hours

    You can also choose to decline some of these, and re-arrange the schedule. If you want to do a first look, the couple portraits and group shots can be done before the ceremony and reception. We will go over a schedule for your day.

  • Once you have signed your wedding agreement with me, there is a $700 retainer fee that is non-refundable. Please understand, that you’re still receiving a service. The service you paid for with your retainer is your consultation time and, should someone call us up and ask about your wedding date, our response is “Sorry, we’re booked.” If your wedding is rescheduled please let us know within 30 days of the event date, We will try to accommodate the new date but even then there is no way of knowing if your new date will be available.

  • The total balance must be paid in full at least 30 days prior to your event date.

  • Yes!! We love to travel to photograph weddings in different locations. Let’s meet somewhere in the world and create some magic!

  • I would lose count! We photograph the entire day and make sure to cover whatever is happening. On average you will receive 50-80 images for each hour of shooting. All the images are edited for color, exposure, and sharpness.
